Description
NORI is the Japanese name for various edible species of red algae from the Porphyra genus Porphyra. The term nori also refers to products made from these algae. The final product is made by crushing and then drying the algae on a grid, after which it resembles green paper. These sheets are used in the preparation of Japanese and Korean cuisines. Nori is part of the rolls, sometimes they are served separately, or finely cut and mixed with seasonings.
