Description
Taleggio cheese is a semi-soft Italian cheese made from pasteurized cow's milk. The consistency of Taleggio is pleasant: tender, soft, elastic, somewhat resembling the consistency of a very good processed cheese. The crust is quite thin, reddish / brownish, of a non-uniform color. The cheese must be removed from the refrigerator half an hour or an hour before serving - without unwrapping the package, of course. Cut it into rather thick slices, without trying to make them perfectly even. This cheese is nice to eat in its pure form or with fresh bread — especially if it is white bread with a crispy crust. Sometimes Taleggio is added to risotto, gnocchi and other hot dishes, as well as to pastries (for example, kishi).
